How To Enhance An Outfit With Fall Accessories
Fall is finally upon us here in Texas! It’s chilly and the leaves are starting to change colors which means it’s time to break out the fall attire! I just recently swapped my closet and put away all my spring and summer items and brought out all my fall stuff. In addition I launched ANOTHER fall collection, this one being all toggle capes! These capes are made from ethically sourced cotton, drape over the shoulder and have a toggle closure in the front. Coming in 11 different prints and patterns, theres something for everyone!
With it being fall, I thought I would show you a simple and easy way to enhance any fall outfit with a few of my fall and winter accessories; the velvet knot headband, the fleece infinity scarf, the toggle cape and the brand new purses! This outfit consists of basics; green skinny leg cargo style pants, a blue cotton button down, a light beige sweater over top and then the bold accessories! If you know me, you know I love a bold print and I love mixing prints, so putting these pieces together to create this look was super fun and right in my comfort zone. For those of you a little more on the tamer side and even for those who like a little more boldness, here are my ways to enhance any fall outfit
Accessorize. Accessories can take a look from drab to fab. Adding a bold piece to your look, like the golden yellow cape or the leopard print purse can add a spark to your outfit that will make it stand out. If you’re not into big statement pieces, adding a solid color headband like the velvet knot in Cognac, adds the same spark but in a more subtle way
Layer. Fall is the time to layer since it is usually pretty chilly. A classic style technique is to later a button down under your favorite sweater. You can enhance this look up a notch by adding a bold printed cape or infinity scarf like the leopard print fleece infinity scarf. It’s always those pops of color and print under the basics that can really bring an outfit together.
A good boot. Nothing says fall like a good boot. Knee high, gold glitter, a bright color, all is fair and expected! Step out of your comfort zone when it comes to your boots and try a new style or color you wouldn’t normally.
